Born out of an interest in bridging the gap between what we might traditionally
understand as visual arts and literature, we are currently researching into a project which aims to explore a conversation between a group of female artists’ whose work employs
narrative structures and playful twists between invention, fact and fiction.
This current research is in particular informed by the work of Kayoi Kusama and Sophie Calle. Both artists produce thought-provoking narrative based works flavoured with a splash of illusion.
We are currently looking into creating a touring group exhibition and associated events across various collection/library based venues in the UK including Glasgow Women’s Library which we had the pleasure of meeting for a site visit in February.
More to come about this project soon…..
